02 JAN 08 - Tustumena 200 Dog Sled Race Movie
Every year at the end of January, the Moosehorn ARC helps out the Tustumena 200 dog sled race, a qualifying run for the Ididarod. Moosehorn ARC provides communication between the checkpoints where there's no cell phone coverage to provide safety to the mushers and update Race Central of the times contestants arrive at the various checkpoints.

The Kenai Peninsula is home to numerous brown (grizzly) and black bears throughout the area. The Peninsula is located just north of Kodiak Island.
